About the Minneapolis Kennel Club

 Founded in 1933, the Minneapolis Kennel Club is one of the oldest kennel clubs in Minnesota. Its mission is to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs, to advance the interests of dog shows and obedience trials, and to encourage sportsmanship at such events.

The Minneapolis Kennel Club conducts chipping clinics, educational meetings and seminars , sanctioned matches,an annual all-breed dog show and an obedience trial. The club is an active donor to the purebred dog community.


Conformation Show: The Annual MKC conformation show will be held on November 19 and 20 at Canterbury Park. Premium lists have been mailed and are now available online. Important Premium List Correction: Exhibitors are permitted to reserve 3 grooming spots. (The premium states that the limit is 2 spots but it should state 3.)


The next MKC meeting will be held on October 18, 2016 at the normal location: Richfield Community Center, 7000 Nicollet Avenue, Richfield. This meeting will focus on planning for the conformation show on November 19 and 20.

Mark your calendars for the MKC Holiday Party which will be held on November 29 at Centennial Lakes (same location as last year).
